Russian EMERCOM Aircraft Brings Humanitarian Aid to Beirut on October 24
Russia is sending humanitarian aid to Lebanon. In a very recent announcement by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Lebanon it is confirmed that a Russian EMERCOM Il-76 plane will land at Beirut. The plane will arrive at Rafic Hariri International Airport on October 24 at 8:25 AM in Beirut.
The official news agency of Lebanon, National News Agency confirmed this news with a release.
This plane is bringing humanitarian aid, including medical supplies and emergency relief kits for the civilians of Lebanon.
The aircraft will stay at the airport until 12:00 PM before taking off again. The Russian government has asked Lebanese authorities to support the landing and unloading of the aid.
According to the Russian embassy Lebanese and international media have been invited to cover the arrival of the aid. The plane will also evacuate around 100 Russian citizens, including women and children.
