Why BYD Is Outselling Tesla and the Hottest EV Brand You Can’t Buy in America

In the world of electric vehicles one company is making waves, and it’s not Tesla. China’s BYD has taken the lead in the EV market, surpassing Tesla in sales and innovation. The Shenzhen-based company sold more cars than Tesla last year and continues to push forward with groundbreaking technology.
Recently, BYD introduced a new battery charging system that adds 250 miles of range in just five minutes. In comparison, Tesla’s Superchargers take 15 minutes to add 200 miles. Additionally, BYD launched its advanced driver-assistance system, “God’s Eye,” at no extra cost. Tesla’s similar feature, Full Self-Driving, comes with a hefty price tag.
Once dismissed by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, BYD is now proving to be a serious competitor. BYD is growing rapidly, dominating China’s massive auto market. Now, it’s expanding into Europe, the Middle East, and South America.
Though the market is growing the BYD car is still away from America. Because of high tariffs and trade restrictions, the company is away from the U.S. market. But apart from challenges and hurdles the BYD is growing forward, and now they are challenging Tesla and reshaping the global EV industry.
With faster charging lower prices, and advanced technology, BYD is setting new standards. The competition in the electric car market is getting more intense, and BYD is proving to be a major player in the race.
