Saudi Arabia Opens Doors To International Flights On Biden Insistence
Saudi arabia–As Heathrow cuts of flight traffic to manage limited staff and surging numbers, the Kingdom is opening its door to international flights without distinction.
Saudi Arabia is now opening its airspace to all civilian airlines. The decision has been welcomed by US President Joe Biden, as he is scheduled to visit them today. One of the most powerful and rich Middle Eastern nations, Saudi Arabia is focused at becoming a preferred aviation hub and is doing this to “complement efforts aimed at consolidating its position as a global hub connecting three continents and to enhance international air connectivity,” the aviation authority has said.
This is good news for Hajj travelers wishing to visit the Kingdom from Israel. But the decision also opens up air route travels from America into a comparatively stable Middle Eastern country.

The development that also opens doors for flights from Israel is being seen as diplomatic efforts being made by the US to broker the movement. This will also mean shorter flights between Israel and Asia. This is something in earlier years had led to more travel time, expensive flights due to longer routes to be covered.
The official statement made by the Kingdom guarantees that the airspace has been opened keeping in mind international conventions that there should be no discrimination between flights of any nation. Hence, the inclusion of Israel and subsequently flights from across the world.
