Egypt and Kenya Forge Stronger Space Collaboration Pathway
The Egyptian Space Agency and the Kenya leading the race with Africa in space exploration have inked a high-level strategic partnership to enhance continent technological capability, a major diplomatic milestone in continental space exploration. A delegation led by Brigadier Hilary Kipkosgei visited Egyptian Space Agency (ESA) Chief Executive Professor Dr. Sherif Sedky discussing ways of collaboration in satellite technology and space research.
During the meeting, the two discussed technology localization and human capacity building at the Egyptian Space Agency facility headquarters. Dr. “This partnership is key strategically and being that Egypt hosts the African Space Agency’s permanent headquarters, Egypt is the perfect eyeball in that that permits initiation of African Space initiative on the continent,” Sedky said.
This joint begins a new phase in the African space development endeavor and represents a commitment by the two space agencies of Egypt and Kenya to regional technological advancement and knowledge sharing.
