Iran’s War-Time Chief of Staff Eliminated: IDF Says

The IDF has managed to strike and kill the new military commander of Iran, that is appointed by Tehran, in an accurate air strike that was carried out in the center of Tehran, the second senior Iranian officer who was killed in five days. Major General Ali Shadmani, who had recently taken over as head of the most vital Iranian military operation facility, was killed in an intelligence-staged action.
The killing of Shadmani is a crippling blow to Iran military hierarchy, four days after he succeeded Major General Gholam Ali Rashid who was killed during the initial wave of Israeli attacks of June 13. These swift turnovers at the top of the leadership illustrate that the military command structure in Iran is more than ever pressured in this escalating conflict in the region.
The targeted general was serving as commander of Khatam-al Anbiya Central Headquarters, which is the supreme military coordination organ of Iran that oversees the running of the engagement operations of various confrontations. According to intelligence reports, Shadmani played an influential role in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the conventional armed forces in Iran, hence a strategic target to infiltrate Israeli activities.
Israeli military leaders described the killing as a continuation of precision strikes aimed at targeting Iran’s military operations to weaken its military capabilities progressively. The strike is said to have been carried out with a high form of intelligence collection technique, where Israeli troops were able to track the high-ranking commander and attack him even following high levels of security in Tehran.
According to military analysts, the speed at which farmers exterminated successive military chiefs in Iran reflects the advanced spy network in Iran and how Israel can attack surgically in the center of Iran. The use of the operation sends a strong signal on Israel’s intent in eliminating important Iranian violent leadership.
The fact that two consecutive military chiefs have died in an incredibly small period has caused the Iranian military machinery to go into a huge state of disarray. The short period that Shadmani had to serve before he was eliminated in just days serves as a reminder of how extremely difficult it is to ensure stable operational continuity in the military leadership of Iran, as the country battled against an active war at the time.
The state media of Iran has been very quiet about the formal confirmation of Shadmani being dead, as has been the case in the past following the elimination of other high-profile killings.
