Mustafa Madbouly Pauses News Conference After Feeling Unwell Amid Busy Schedule
Mustafa Madbouly the Prime Minister of Egypt was briefly interrupted during a televised news conference. This happened as he began feeling unwell.
The 58-year-old prime minister, who was speaking in Cairo’s new administrative capital, had to pause his remarks due to dizziness. According to Cabinet spokesperson Mohamed al-Homsani, Madbouly had been dealing with exhaustion, a severe cold, and a busy schedule. But still he is continuing his work.
Madbouly is prime minister of Egypt since 2018. He was discussing President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi’s domestic and international meetings during the briefing. Al-Homsani also mentioned that Madbouly was taking medication including antibiotics to recover.
Health issue of PM comes at the time when important summit in Cairo, where Egypt is hosting a gathering of eight countries for an economic cooperation summit on Thursday. The countries involved include Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Iran, Nigeria, and Turkey in the summit.
This health incident of PM of Egypt is a reminder that the pressures faced by political leaders are too much. So the need of balancing physical and mental well-being is important.
