Why Did Elon Musk Replace Twitter’s Blue Bird Logo With A Dogecoin Logo?

Elon Musk made a surprise change on Tuesday by replacing the recognizable blue bird emblem of Twitter with a meme related to cryptocurrencies. On the Web version, the “Doge” meme may be seen in the upper-left corner of the Twitter feed homescreen.
This is the most recent adjustment since Mr. Musk paid $44 billion to acquire the microblogging service in November of last year.
He had previously stated that starting in April, the For You feed, the first page users see when they open the app, will only recommend content from sponsored accounts.
A flurry of comments have been made over the “Dog” joke used as a logo on Twitter.

Mr. Musk backs Dogecoin, a mock cryptocurrency launched in 2013. He emphasized that SpaceX will soon follow Tesla in accepting Dogecoin as payment for goods.

According to Bloomberg, Dogecoin surged by about 30% after its image unexpectedly surfaced in the website interface.
Mr. Musk issued two tweets that offered a satirical perspective on his decision as more and more users began to inquire as to why the logo had been modified.
One of his tweets depicts the “Doge” meme’s face driving a car as a police officer purportedly examines a license bearing the “old” blue bird emblem.
“That’s an old photo,” Doge informs the officer.
Then, in a subsequent tweet, Mr. Musk posted a screenshot of an old exchange with a user in which the latter requested that he “purchase Twitter and replace the bird logo to a doge.” It was finished “as promised,” he claimed in the tweet.
Reuters reported that Mr. Musk is facing a $258 billion lawsuit alleging he ran a pyramid scheme to fund dogecoin, and Vox highlighted this “important” piece of news that users are pointing to.
A few days before the meme was posted on Twitter, the CEO of Twitter’s legal team requested the court to throw out the dogecoin lawsuit.
