What is the reality? Will Elon Musk’s X charge users’ a monthly fee? Why did Elon Musk announce this news?
What is the reality?
Elon Musk is currently debating the decision to charge all X users a monthly fee. The decision has not been taken yet. Elon Musk has specified details about the new decision.
Reportedly, Elon Musk wanted to charge “a small monthly payment” to all users on the X platform in order to “combat vast armies of bots” proliferating the micro-blogging site.
Tech billionaire Elon Musk reportedly said, “This is actually the only defense against the vast armies of bots.”
According to Elon Musk, if a social media user pays a few dollars to use platform X, then “the effective cost of bots” will become very high. If X starts charging users’ a monthly fee, it would require bot operators to pay money every time they create an account on X platform.
X subscription program
X subscription program, previously called Twitter Blue paid service, already charges verified users an $8 monthly fee. Verified X users enjoy access to special features such as the ability to edit posts and the ability to hide likes.
