Hezbollah takes prides in acquiring precision-guided missiles, says “Revenge is coming”
On Sunday, Hassan Nasrallah, general secretary of Hezbollah in his interview with the Beirut-based Arabic Al-Mayadeen TV, said that the Lebanon based political group stepped up its military capability and was now able to accurately hit anywhere in Israel and Israel occupied Palestinian territories.
The Iran-backed militant group, known as one of the arch rival of Israel, claimed that it has doubled its acquisition of precision-guided missiles as compared to the last year. The group chief said that it was a big achievement for the Lebanon-based group as it did so despite Israel’s impeding efforts. During the four-hour long interview, Nasrallah expressed pride in the fact that the news of its enhanced military prowess was tapped by Israel, and said that latter had no knowledge of it because the information was kept in a “very tight circle.”
During the interview given to pro-Hezbollah media group, Nasrallah said, “The number of precision missiles at the resistance’s disposal has now doubled from what it was a year ago. Any target across the area of occupied Palestine that we want to hit accurately — we are able to hit accurately.”The news was followed by rise in tensions in the region, as Nasrallah threatened that the Shiite group was all prepared to take revenge for the death of Iranian top general Qassim Soleimani and nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. While sitting with a picture of Soleimani, he told Al-Mayadeen TV, “That revenge is coming no matter how long it takes.” Nasrallah added that Iranian-ally would also avenge Israel’s killing of a Hezbollah fighter, Ali Kamel Mohsen Jawad, who was killed in July in a series of airstrikes in Syria.

In the interview Nasrallah, accused Saudi Kingdom for conspiring with US to kill him. “Our data indicates that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman raised the issue of my assassination during his visit to Washington,” he said, adding that the Americans “agreed to a Saudi request to assassinate me, that Israel would implement it.” Israeli intelligence forces also alleged that due to the same threat the group’s leader has been living in a bunker.
Nasrallah also condemned the recent normalisation deals between the Arab world and Israel, and said that he was “not surprised by the Arab letdown, because most of the Arab regimes used to sell the Palestinians only words.”With reference to change of regime in White House and takeover of Joe Biden as the next US President, Nasrallah said that the group’s Islamic-partner Iran would only focus on discussing its nuclear deal with Washington and would not discuss regional conflicts with the US.
