Hezbollah leader ready for all options to protect Lebanon’s oil and gas
Lebanon–While warning Israel against making miscalculations toward Lebanon, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that his party is ready to do everything to protect Lebanon’s oil and gas.
Hezbollah leader said on Tuesday in a televised speech commemorating the Shia holy day of Ashura that the Lebanese party is prepared for military actions, and will spare no efforts to protect Lebanon on the issues of oil, gas, and maritime disputes. He reportedly said, “We are very serious in our fight for Lebanon’s wealth. We should be ready for all options in response to Israeli threats.” He went on to warn Israel not to commit any error with Lebanon and its people.
Hezbollah is an Iran-backed group in Lebanon that has a well-armed militia. Recently, the Israeli military shot down three Hezbollah unarmed drones flying over Karish gas field in the Mediterranean Sea. Subsequently, Nasrallah said that his group can locate and strike Karish and any other Israeli gas field. Israel reportedly considers the Hezbollah group its most serious immediate threat.
