Iran’s Javad Zarif: ‘U.S. sanctions on Turkey are contempt of International Law’

On Tuesday, Iran’s foreign minister Javad Zarif denounced the forced sanctions on neighboring Turkey by the United States government over its purchase of Russia’s S-400 air defense system, stated that the imposed sanctions are contempt of international law.”We fully condemn the recently forced sanctions on Turkey by the US and stand behind its citizens and regime,” Mohammad Javad Zarif tweeted, utilizing the hashtag “#NeighborsFirst.”
