Symrise Signs Major Land Deal in Egypt’s Giza Industrial Complex for Regional Expansion
Symrise has gained possession of a 30,000-square-meter tract of land in the advanced e2 industrial complex of Giza to enhance its market presence in Africa and the Middle East. The deal with Industrial Development Group (IDG) provides Symrise the opportunity to combine all its existing Egyptian facilities comprising two production sites and an innovation center with quality control laboratories under one roof in the 6th October Industrial City.
Symrise plans to consolidate its operations to improve function communication and maintain double-digit Egyptian market growth based on its new strategy. Ihab Rehab as Managing Director of North Africa declared the plans to expand production capacity and service capabilities for more than 22 markets throughout the AMETCA cluster. The president of Food & Beverage EAME Lilian Regnier declared that exporting Egyptian products represents a vital element of their EAME Supply Chain Strategy which depends on local product portfolios together with specialized staff.
The move to e2 industrial park will boost the start date schedule for operation at this new facility site. Symrise plans to increase its production amounts through high double-digit growth in addition to doubling its volumes according to Sofiane Berrahmoune who serves as the VP Market Cluster AMETCA. The company plans to accomplish Food & Beverage market leadership in Egypt and the neighboring areas by hiring industry professionals and improving production capabilities through technology development and developing flexible supply chain systems.
